§ 6-164. Move-in houses.

  • Any person keeping or maintaining any move-in house within the city limits shall comply with the following minimum requirements:

    (1)

    The foundation shall be constructed with four and one-half-inch steel reinforcement rods which shall lap twelve (12) inches and extend throughout the foundation and shall contain a twelve-inch by twelve-inch footing.

    (2)

    The slab shall be constructed with No. 10 mesh and shall be a minimum thickness of three and one-half (3½) inches.

    (3)

    The city manager or his designee shall be notified before any concrete is poured.

    (4)

    The underpinning shall be of masonry constructed with stucco, concrete blocks, brick, plaster over metal lathe or felt and wire to the satisfaction of the city manager or his designee.

    (5)

    Electricity, plumbing and gas shall meet the standards of the respective codes as adopted by the city.

    (6)

    The painting shall be to the satisfaction of the city manager or his designee.

    (7)

    The roof shall be to the satisfaction of the city manager or his designee.

    (8)

    General repair shall be to the satisfaction of the city manager or his designee.

    (9)

    Pictures of the structure shall be furnished to the city manager or his designee.
