§ 6-71. Required; electrician's license prerequisite.

  • (a)

    No permit for the installation or alteration of any electrical wiring, devices or equipment shall be issued to any person unless such person is the holder of a journeyman electrician's license or a master electrician's license as required by this article entitling such holder to procure permits for and to execute the class of work described in such permit.

    (b)

    No wiring, devices or equipment for the transmission, distribution or utilization of electrical energy for light, power or heat shall be installed within or on any building or structure nor shall any alteration or addition be made to any such existing wiring, devices or equipment without first obtaining a permit from the city building official.
