§ 22-87. Same—Membership; terms; officers.

(a)

The following persons shall constitute the convention and visitor's bureau:

(1)

Board membership shall consist of seven (7) board members.

(2)

The mayor of the city shall automatically serve as a board member.

(3)

There shall be six (6) members at large appointed by the city council who will serve for three-year terms, which will be staggered. These members shall be uniquely qualified, interested, and available to assist in this specialized field.

(4)

The city manager or his designee and the executive vice-president of the chamber of commerce shall serve as ex officio members of the board.

(b)

All appointments shall be made before the first meeting in January. At this meeting the members will name a chairman and a vice-chairman of the board from their members.
